I accidentally found myself on a yoga mat for the first time in 2008, shortly after I had moved with my young family to Philadelphia, USA. Struggling with homesickness, isolation and lack of purpose I was invited by a kindly neighbour to try a yoga class. Once I stepped onto a mat I never really stepped off! During those early few weeks this was because I couldn’t get up to get off it... but with commitment and dedication to a regular weekly practice my strength and confidence grew

Throughout the next three years in America, it was my commitment to yoga that helped me survive and then thrive. With yoga I found something that truly encompassed Mind, Body and Soul - yoga met my global needs of physical exercise, head space and a new community.

Upon returning to the UK in 2011 I was faced with yet another family life transition. Settling into a new town (Amersham, Buckinghamshire), I sought out yoga classes to help me find those same elements that had guided and supported me previously, and as before yoga did not let me down. When considering what next it made perfect to sense to explore yoga teacher training.

I qualified with a 200 hour yoga teacher training diploma with Yoga Campus in 2013, gaining a further qualification in Teen Yoga in 2016 and am insured to teach with Yoga Alliance. I continue to broaden my yoga education by attending teacher training and workshops with renowned international teachers like Shiva Rea, Liz Lark, Mathew Sanford, Jeff Phenix, Gary Carter, Emma Henry, and Anna Ashby. I have been running regular public classes for adults and teens, and corporate health and wellbeing programmes in and around the Buckinghamshire community since 2013. In March 2020 I transitioned to live streaming classes via Zoom.

In 2020 the adventure continues, as in September during the midst of a global pandemic, I moved again to live in Toronto, Canada.

I teach vinyasa flow classes that cater to all abilities, fusing together traditional yoga poses with modern teaching and sequencing techniques, providing a 21st Century workout for the mind, body and breath that is rooted in knowledge, practice and passion.
